A File Manager is a web-based interface that allows you to control the files inside an Internet hosting account as an alternative to a third-party FTP program. Every File Manager tool supports a basic set of capabilities no matter the hosting CP it's part of - renaming, deleting and moving files or whole folders along with all the data in them, for instance. In accordance with the specific Control Panel, other capabilities might be supported as well, such as changing file permissions, managing archives or changing the content of a given file. With an easy-to-use File Manager, you may comfortably manage your files and your presence online in general, while a hard-to-use one can make handling your content aggravating, particularly if you haven't used this kind of a tool before.

File Manager in Cloud Hosting

The File Manager tool, which is part of our in-house built Hepsia CP, will enable you to administer all of the files which you upload to your cloud hosting account easily. You'll be able to move files and entire folders by dragging-and-dropping them within the account. You can easily upload content in the same manner - pick a file/folder on your personal computer and drag it to your Internet browser in which the File Manager is loaded. By right-clicking a file or a folder in your account, you can also access context menus with more advanced options - you will be able to set up or to unpack an archive, to create a password-protected area, to modify the UNIX permissions using a web interface or to edit the content with various editors without ever leaving the CP – an HTML editor, a plain text editor or a code editor. We have also added help articles and video tutorials, you can access right from the File Manager to find out more about its functions.

File Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our advanced, though easy-to-use File Manager offers you 100 % control over your content and you'll not have any troubles handling the folders and files that you set up or upload to your semi-dedicated server account, even when you have never used an Internet hosting service before. The options it's offering are only a couple of clicks away, even the more advanced ones such as creating a password-protected folder, creating or unpacking an archive, adjusting UNIX permissions or opening a file in a plain text or an HTML editor. Through right-click context menus, you will feel like you’re working on your home computer. Also, the File Manager supports dragging-and-dropping of files and whole folders - both inside the account and from your notebook or computer. With the latter alternative, you may upload content directly, which removes the need for an FTP client.
